Louisiana communities important to the Milliken's Bend story include: Lake Providence; Goodrich's Landing; Milliken's Bend; Duckport; Young's Point; DeSoto pennisula; Richmond; New Carthage; Perkin's Landing. On the Mississippi side of the river, major points of interest include Vicksburg and in the lower right the plantations of Joseph Davis and Jefferson Davis.
